Anna dress take two and some yummy PJ's

I've just finished another Farbenmix "Anna" dress....it took me under an hour including cutting out! Love love love this pattern!! This one is for Becky who has olive skin and dark hair so I think the colour and print will really suit her. The fabric must have had a little polyester in it though as it was nasty to sew.

I've also added a pic of the first Anna dress modeled by Hannah. Note the sparkly pink shoes....I wish I could get away with such fun shoes!

Also a pair of snugly cake print PJ's for the youngest miss. This fabric is a knit from the states and it's waaaaaaay better quality than I've found in any store here.

Everything's been great lately, we're settling back into school and pre-kinder and playgroup and all the other day to day things that make us mums a little loopy! The weather has been glorious, lovely warm afternoons and clear mornings, I know it won't last though so I'm kicking the girls out doors to play all the time! The fruit trees are way too full of plums, nectarines and apples. We also discovered blackberries ripening along the fence tangled up in the raspberries and apple trees. I'm thinking an apple and blackberry pie might be in order!

Something for my girly girl

I've just bought the most gorgeous dress pattern by Farbenmix. It's called Anna and is such an easy and quick dress to whip up as it hasn't any buttons or zippers.....woohoo!
I used some sweet floral fabric from spotlight and made the 98/104cm size for my eldest girl, who's 5. I added some length to it as I wanted it to be a little warmer and also took the sides in about an inch and a half and shortened the shoulder straps to fit her narrow frame.
I'm really happy with how it turned out and have already got plans to make ones for the other two girls :)

Valentines Day at Hawley Beach

Since we missed the ward activity there which everyone raved about we thought we take a trip out there to enjoy the last bit of summer sun.
The weather was perfect and the company adorable....a very happy Valentines Day.

Growing up

Don't take this the wrong way but I'm actually excited and not sad about my little girls first day of school. Not that I want her to be away for so long during the day but because of all the exciting new experiences and adventures she'll have. She's such a keen learner and is desperate to be able to read! Despite being a naturally shy and reserved little miss she really blossomed at kinder last year and I look forward to her extending on that and gaining new confidences.

She was a little hesitant when we arrived but after I prised her monkey grip from my neck and we had an explore around the room I could see she would be just fine. Her teacher is so lovely and Hannah knows her from the early learning group last year which gives her more confidence.

Here are a few pics of what grew in our garden while we were in Sydney. They came from a bean plant that Hannah grew during the last few weeks of Kinder....the girls were so thrilled to find them!

Our time away was so much fun. We were able to see my oldest brother David sealed to his wonderful family in the Sydney LDS temple. I met my adorable niece, Chloe who was born 10 weeks prem and is growing like a weed! She was blessed by her dad, my younger brother, Craig at church on the Sunday we were there and that was so special. To top it all off my youngest brother, Glen who turned 18 last week was able to overcome a severe fear of water and gain the courage to be baptised...it was such a sweet and sacred experience and I'm so proud of him.
What an emotional and enjoyable holiday it was!
