Don't take this the wrong way but I'm actually excited and not sad about my little girls first day of school. Not that I want her to be away for so long during the day but because of all the exciting new experiences and adventures she'll have. She's such a keen learner and is desperate to be able to read! Despite being a naturally shy and reserved little miss she really blossomed at kinder last year and I look forward to her extending on that and gaining new confidences.
She was a little hesitant when we arrived but after I prised her monkey grip from my neck and we had an explore around the room I could see she would be just fine. Her teacher is so lovely and Hannah knows her from the early learning group last year which gives her more confidence.
Here are a few pics of what grew in our garden while we were in Sydney. They came from a bean plant that Hannah grew during the last few weeks of Kinder....the girls were so thrilled to find them!
Our time away was so much fun. We were able to see my oldest brother David sealed to his wonderful family in the
Sydney LDS temple. I met my adorable niece, Chloe who was born 10 weeks prem and is growing like a weed! She was blessed by her dad, my younger brother, Craig at church on the Sunday we were there and that was so special. To top it all off my youngest brother, Glen who turned 18 last week was able to overcome a severe fear of water and gain the courage to be baptised...it was such a sweet and sacred experience and I'm so proud of him.
What an emotional and enjoyable holiday it was!
