I'm blessed to have 6 wonderful brothers and now that most of us are all getting to that responsible age of settling down and having a family I've been lucky to have 3 gorgeous nieces.
This past weekend my younger brother and his darling wife welcomed their first little one into the world.
Laura Evelyn was born on the 6th of the 6th and was a teeny 6lb 6oz.
Of course I got sewing straight away, handy that my whole fabric stash is pink! I've been wanting to make a reversible pinnie style dress for ages and thought I knew how to do it but when it came to turning it the right way things didn't quite turn out as expected! Go figure :P So I went looking and found this great tutorial here http://www.polkadotbug.com/reversible-dress-tutorial.html
It worked much better this time and here's the finished dress.
The pattern is from Ottobre (what else!) 6/2007 as part of their premmie patterns, it's a size 50cms, hopefully it'll fit!
I also tried fabric covered snaps for the first time and they worked out real pretty, button holes and I don't mix but snaps I can do! The last pic is some other little things I've made for her, some stretch terry leggings, monkey PJ's and a white long sleeve top.
Oh I love teeny tiny things!
Congratulations Aunty Suzie! She's such a happy soul her face just radiates it :D
