January 2015 - Leaving on a jet plane

Our family was lucky enough to be able to head up to Sydney for a few weeks in January. The girls count the days down and are so excited when the day finally arrives. We had swimming lessons in the morning and didn't want to miss them so we packed the car up and did our swimming and then headed to the airport straight from the pool, dripping wet hair and all!

Mary wasn't too keen about the flying part this time and looked rather worried for the first 1/2 hour. Once we were up and cruising though she realised it wasn't all that bad and started to enjoy it.

Hannah and Beck are too cool for school up in the air, checking out the menu and making themselves at home!

It's such a short flight really that just when you get comfortable you're almost ready to land! We picked up the hire car from the airport in Sydney and found a lovely little 8 legged friend crawling across my passenger window. Luckily it was on the outside and after watching it disappear up over the back we joked that it would be funny if it made the trip all the way to Frannies! Would you believe it that when we pulled up and went to get the suitcases there he was, still clinging on for dear life. Frannie was not amused.....and even less so when I pointed out the other 8 legged friend sitting next to her door bell.....eek!
