May 2015 - Guinea-pig sitting

Over the years we've become the "go-to" guinea pig sitters for some friends of ours whenever they go away on holiday. Mary absolutely loves it and it quite attached to the little rodent. This time we looked after him for over a week and I think she was quite sad to see him go in the end. Alfie is pretty low maintenance and doesn't really do much during the day but at night he's pretty noisy and likes to let us know he's there, squeaking and rattling his water bottle.

I've also had a notion in my head for a while about rainbow swirl cupcakes and so I tried them out a couple of times ready for Mary's birthday coming up at the end of the month. This was my first attempt. Rather tasty!
