December round up

Well, December is almost at an end....it's been a packed month and I'm really enjoying the school holidays so far.
We made the traditional gingerbread gifts for the teachers at school and the girls had so much fun decorating the little houses. I contributed with some little gingerbread people for the ancillary staff.

I got busy with some sewing and have been making some summer things for the girls. I love this Ottobre pattern, it's the Tangerine top from the Spring edition of 2011. The spotty material was from Spotlight and it's a cotton/elastene knit. Miss 5 loves it and even wore it to bed!

Our first harvest from the garden came this week when we were invited to a Christmas even dinner. They asked up to bring a salad so potato salad it was with some potatoes we "bandicooted" and fresh eggs from the chooks. It was topped off with homemade mayonnaise and chives from the garden.

Lastly here are a couple of bibs I sewed up for my gorgeous niece who turned one this month. Fabric was stretch french terry, think Bonds wondersuit material. It was very slippery to sew but a walking foot on the sewing machine made a huge difference!
