April 2014 - Tree houses

We had someone come and trim some of the trees and hedges at the beginning of the year. He took the bottom few metres off from around the Christmas Tree as the girls call it, the big fir tree in the back of the yard. At first they were upset because it looked so different but soon realised that it meant they could build better tree houses and so they were happy!
They also found that the sticks that were left lying around after he's chopped everything down made great bows and arrows!

April 2014 - Alpaca expo

It's become a bit of a highlight for Mary to go see the Alpacas and this year was no different. She loved looking at all the different kinds and was especially taken with the mother and baby. This year they had a little colouring competition where you could decorate an Alpaca with Alpaca fleece and colour it in and Mary was thrilled to win first prize in her age group! She won a cute little bracelet and was very chuffed.

March 2014 - Random Flopsy pictures

Just a few fun Flospy pictures.....

March 2014 - Sports day and a dress

We finally convinced Mary that she would look cute in a dress for school, she's never worn one and much prefers her trackies or shorts. It was such a momentous occasion that we had to take a picture.
She also took part in her sports day and had a great time.....rather too hot for her trackies though but you never can tell with Tassie weather, freezing in the morning and super hot by lunchtime!

February 2014 - Back to school photos

As usual we stopped to take some pictures on the first day back at school. We managed to get one or two nice ones along with all the crazy ones. Hannah is in grade 5 this year in Mrs Wing's class. Becky is grade 3 with Mrs Gibson again and Mary has two teachers, Mrs Page and Mrs Youd and she's in Grade 1. All three were very excited about their new classes and couldn't wait to go back to school.

January 2014 - Glen's new camera

When Glen came to visit he brought over his fancy new camera and the girls had a blast being his models while he tested out all the settings.

January 2014 - Visit from Great Grandparents

We also enjoyed a lovely visit from Grandma and Grandpa Hooper during the holidays. The were celebrating 50 years of marriage and were doing a trip around Tassie just like they had done on their honeymoon all those years ago. They visited us for the day on the way through and we took them out to the Salmon farm as Grandpa is a keen fisherman. After we had some ice cream at the raspberry farm which was delicious. It was so lovely to be together and the girls loved getting to know them.
