August 2013 - 4 Kettles' trip to Franklin House

As part of the History curriculum Hannah's grade 4 class had been learning about early settlement in Australia and Tasmania. They planned an excursion to Franklin House which was built in 1838. They have games and activities set up for the students like quoits, horse shoe toss, quizzes and worksheets based around the house and gardens. Mum went along for the ride in the bus and helped with the groups as they went around to do each activity. It was a gorgeous house and so fascinating to learn about how they lived. The veggie garden was fabulous too and something to aspire to!
