I got a call from the school one day in November to say that Becky had hurt her arm and would I pop up and have a look at it. Turns out she was practicing back bends out in the playground with her friends at recess and fell on her right arm. It was quite bruised by the time I saw it and we decided that it needed to be checked out so up to the emergency at Latrobe we went.
After an x-ray the dr thought it could do with a temporary cast to keep it still and help it to heal and keep the bones in the right place as she'd given it quite a knock.
It was a novelty at first but got quite hot and heavy and a little annoying.
Luckily when we went back the following week they thought it looked okay and would be fine to take the cast off.
Just in time for the swimming carnival! Both Hannah and Becky were participating this year and they both decided to try out the 50m backstroke and both came 2nd in their heat! We were so proud of them giving it a go and they were so pleased that they had given it their best.
Mary jumped in on the shot with her green iceblock tongue and wanted to show off her scarface! She had fallen out of a tree that she was climbing and scratched her face. She was lucky it wasn't worse as it was so close to her eye!
